Why it matters
An EV isn't a petrol car with a plug.
Pop the bonnet and you learn almost nothing. The battery is the single most expensive part of the car, and it degrades quietly. Charging faults, coolant loops, inverter wear and open recalls don't show up on a standard pre-purchase check.
That's where our pre-purchase inspection starts — not where it stops, and we cover hybrids as well as fully electric cars. If you're still researching, read our guide to EV battery health checks.

Where we inspect
We come to the car.
Seven areas across three states, Monday to Friday. Driveway, dealer yard, workplace car park — wherever the vehicle is sitting, that's where we work. Every job is a mobile inspection.
Outside these areas? Ask anyway — we travel for the right job.
All service areasBuilt on trust
We're EV owners. That's why we're this thorough.
We connect you with a professional mechanic who specialises in electric vehicles — vetted by us, licensed and insured in their own right — and we handle the booking, the seller and the report. We sell no cars, we take no referral fee from a seller, and the only person paying us is you.
What lands in your inbox
A measured battery figure
Usable capacity and cell balance read from the battery management system, recorded against the VIN — not an estimate from the dash.
Costed defects, photographed
Every fault we find, what it will take to put right, and a picture of it — so you can hand the list straight to the seller.
A plain-English verdict
Buy, negotiate or walk — said plainly, then a phone call to talk it through before you commit to anything.
Common questions
Answered straight.

Read all FAQsHow long does an EV inspection take?
Two to three hours on site for a Complete inspection, including a road test and a live charging session. Essential takes around 90 minutes.
Can you really measure battery health?
Yes — we read the pack directly with EV-specific equipment: usable capacity, cell voltage spread, temperature history and charge cycles, compared against what that model should look like at that age.
What if the car fails?
Then the inspection just paid for itself. You get a costed defect list to negotiate with, and a call to talk through what's a bargaining chip versus a reason to walk away.
